Moonfruit - Boxpark Popup Store
I led the design from concept to completion of the store.

Introduction
Increase Moonfruit's brand awareness by taking over a temporary space at Boxpark in Shoreditch. The visuals had to be contemporary, but also reflect the Moonfruit brand. As the units at Boxpark are fairly long and narrow we needed a way to draw people through the space.

Initial Concept - The Journey of a Moonfruit User
From a product/idea, all the way to a satisfied customer. Moving from its ‘raw state’ into the digital space, via Moonfruit, and then back out into the real world. All round customer satisfaction.

Character design
As the units at Boxpark are fairly long and narrow we needed a way to draw people through the space. The characters were used to try to engage customers through the space with a consistent narrative across the different sections. The visuals had to be contemporary, but also reflect the Moonfruit brand. Moonfruit’s colour palette was split between a primary and secondary set. This meant there were a few to play with, allowing for a small group of easily recognisable characters.

As there would be physical products provided by customers throughout the unit, there was plenty of opportunity for the characters to interact with those elements. This allowed for some expansion of the character’s personality and added to the playful nature of the concept.

Something important to convey to potential customers viewing the space was helping them with their potential passion project, whether it be creating a site for a school charity event or selling ceramic cats.

Extending the character design into various infographics.

Store Design
The objective of the space was to introduce people to Moonfruit, allow them to get a feel for the brand and to see how/if the product could help them bring their passion to the world.
Each section explained how Moonfruit could help with the respective aspect of setting up their passion online, relevant infographics and a customer site with physical products.
Once the ‘journey’ was completed there was a bank of iMacs setup for customers to demo the product.
